Thanks for visiting the website for the Gorham, Maine Rec Volleyball Leagues. After a few years of Tuesday and Thursday pickup play, a couple years ago we decided to add league play to the mix. After several seasons of Thursday night co-ed play, we're changing things this fall. A true co-ed (three guys and three gals) league is starting up on Monday nights, and our Thursday night league has moved to men's play. The leagues are not yet officially sanctioned by MSVBA, so an Association rating is not required to join. We aim to provide C+ level play on Thursdays and C level play on Mondays. On this site you'll find a listing of league rules, a complete schedule, and results. Want to Join our Leagues? The fall season has finished. The spring session (our eighth session) will start in mid-March 2012. If you're interested in entering a team, playing on a team, or getting your name added to the list of available subs, please contact league commissioner Chris Cloutier at contact@gorhamvb.com. Preference is given to teams returning from the previous season. It is also likely that the Monday night league will move to a format that favors reverse co-ed play, with two weeks of reverse to each week of co-ed. DirectionsClick for directions to Gorham Community Center's Shaw Gym for those who have not been there. Pickup PlayPickup play is available on Tuesday nights at 7:00 PM at the Shaw Gym beginning March 15, 2011. We typically play until about 10:00 PM. The cost is $2 for both residents and non-residents.
